History
天平2年に白山社を祭祀したのが始まりで、江戸時代には大聖寺藩に属していました。明治時代に神仏分離令を受け、鶴来の白山さんから御分霊を御請けして白山神社（佐美神社）を造営しました。明治39年に村社佐美神社と改称され、昭和12年の新築の際に再び佐美にもどられました。
