A shrine featuring ammonites designated as Natural Monuments. It is known for hosting the Sarutahana Festival, which includes the dedication of the Bo-no-te (a traditional dance involving sticks) designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Aichi Prefecture.
What visitors say
The shrine grounds feature a waterfall, the Miyajima Shrine with its beautiful red torii gate, and a dance hall adorned with carvings, offering a picturesque landscape. The area is lively during Hatsumode (the first shrine visit of the New Year) and Shichi-Go-San (a traditional celebration for children aged three, five, and seven), with the morning of New Year's Day being particularly refreshing. There is a large gravel parking lot, and fires are sometimes lit for the comfort of visitors.
