Shingon Buddhism Muroha Sect Fukurakuji Temple

It is said to have been founded by the bodhisattva Giki during the Nara period. The main image is a Medicine Buddha (Yakushi Nyorai) created during the middle to late Heian period. In 1486 CE (Bunmei 18), the monk Gyoshun restored the temple. Although it was destroyed by fire in the mid-Edo period, it was rebuilt at its current location by the sixth restorer, the priest Shinryu Ho-in. During the Meiji Restoration, it served as the memorial temple for Omura Masajiro and was also used as a base for the Oginoya unit and as an activity center for the educational division.
