History
Founded during the Eiroku era by Zuou Sushin, the temple was revived in 1751 CE (Hourey 1). It was destroyed by fire in 1837 CE (Tenpou 8) and rebuilt in 1841 CE (Tenpou 12). The main hall and monks' quarters were completely destroyed by fire in 1994 CE (Heisei 6), but were rebuilt in 1998 CE (Heisei 10).
