History
It is said to have been founded in 1617 CE (Genna 3) within the temporary residence of Shoji Jingo, a former retainer of the Hojo family, and several others. During the Edo period, the first Ichikawa Danjuro visited the shrine daily and rose to fame, leading to it being called Shusse Inari Shrine. The current main hall (honden) was built after the Great Kanto Earthquake by reusing materials from the old worship hall (haiden) of Shumori Shrine.
