History
Originally Soumiji, a temple in the castle town of Kiyosu Castle, it was relocated to Nagoya in 1610 during the Kiyosu Crossing. In 1644, Tokugawa Yoshinao persuaded Eikichi Buzan, the former preceptor of Princess Kanou, to remain and re-established the temple as a hermitage on the site of the former Soumiji. Yoshinao named it Koseizan Soumiin, and the second daimyo, Mitsutomo, donated the plaque.
