This shrine enshrines Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Inada-hime-no-Mikoto, and Omononushi-no-Mikoto. It is revered as a deity for warding off misfortune and epidemics. As a martial deity who defeated the Yamata-no-Orochi (Eight-Forked Serpent), it serves as a center of Gion faith.
