History
Tradition holds that the shrine was founded in the late Heian period to coincide with the development of the Imafuku Imperial Granary in Settsu Province. Until the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, it was known as a Sanjūban Shrine. In the Meiji era, it was designated as a Village Shrine and a Shrine for the Offering of Food and Silk. In 1932, it was reconstructed by Furuoka Shunshun, who was involved in the design of Osaka Castle.

What visitors say
Located in a residential area of Osaka, this shrine exudes the atmosphere of a dense, sacred forest. Although the grounds are not very large, the wooden shrine buildings and numerous subsidiary shrines give it a solemn and dignified feel. There is a step up from the torii gate, but entry is possible from the parking lot entrance. The cherry blossom scenery is also beautiful, and the shrine has a lively atmosphere deeply rooted in the local community.
