History
It is said that Uchimaru Tokuyoshi established the temple as Yūsa-an on the former site of a Jizō hall in Rikane to mourn his father. Later, he invited Dajun Sōtatsu from Shūsen-ji to serve as the founding abbot and adopted the name Suzukiin, which had fallen into disuse in Shitago District, Suruga Province. The temple relocated to its current location in 1936 CE (Shōwa 11), and the main hall and monks' quarters were newly constructed in 1986 CE (Shōwa 61).
