Tachibana Shrine
〒854-0406 長崎県雲仙市千々石町己529
This shrine enshrines Lieutenant Colonel Tachibanta Suuta, who served in the Russo-Japanese War. Part of the late lieutenant colonel's former residence has been relocated within the shrine grounds. The approach path is lined with cherry trees, attracting many visitors for hanami (cherry blossom viewing) in spring.
What visitors say
The large kadomatsu (New Year pine decorations) create an impressive landscape, drawing many worshippers during the New Year season. The grounds are well-maintained, and Goshuin (calligraphic seal stamps) are available. Although there is some distance from the parking lot to the main hall (honden), a shortcut via another path is also possible.
