Takatsuki Shrine

In 691 CE (Hakuhō 1), the shrine enshrined the deity Kyūkyū-kunada-no-mikoto and was called Takatsuki Jin (Takatsuki Deity). In the late Heian period, a Kamo Shrine was invited (kanjō) to the site, and it came to be known as Kamo Daimyojin. During the Sengoku period, it served as a place of prayer for the Satake clan. In the Edo period, the Tokugawa shogunate confirmed the shrine's land holdings (sharyō).
