History
It is said to have been founded in 1155 CE (Juko 2) by Koyama Masamitsu. In 1472 CE (Bunmei 4), Koyama Motomasa invited Haisai Seietsu as the teacher for its revival and relocated the temple to its current location. It was revered by the 18th Koyama Takatoyo, during which time it developed as the family temple for the Koyama clan in Koyama City.
