In 1881 (Meiji 14), five Inari shrines were merged and named Yoshihara Jinja (Yoshihara Shrine). In 1934 (Shōwa 9), when a new main hall was constructed at the current location, the adjacent Yoshihara Benzaiten was also merged into the shrine. The shrine was destroyed by fire during the Tokyo air raids of 1945 (Shōwa 20), and the current main hall was built in 1968 (Shōwa 43).
