The "Nihonbashi Shichifukujin Pilgrimage" involves visiting eight shrines in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo to worship the seven deities of fortune.

Because the distance between each shrine is short, you can complete the pilgrimage in less than half a day while enjoying a stroll through the town, making it perfect for those undertaking their first Shichifukujin pilgrimage. During the New Year season, each shrine offers Goshuin (calligraphic seal stamps) and shikishi (decorated paper), and the route is also popular as a "Takarabune (Treasure Ship) Pilgrimage."

The Nihonbashi area flourished as the commercial center of Edo, where small shrines were carefully enshrined as guardian deities for each neighborhood. The Nihonbashi Shichifukujin is cherished as a pilgrimage route visiting these local shrines.

A major characteristic is that the pilgrimage consists entirely of shrines and contains no temples. With short distances between each site, it is one of the most accessible Shichifukujin pilgrimages in Tokyo, allowing you to complete the circuit in less than half a day.
